Boathouse is a performing arts project for children (5-15) and young adults (16+) who are in supported education or training, in the Hastings, Bexhill and Rye areas of East Sussex.

Boathouse provides a variety of theatre arts delivered by professional teachers, artists and committed volunteers which include:

  • Singing & Signing Choir

  • Theatre Crafts

  • Music Workshop

Rye Art Gallery

The Gallery is home to an inspiring display of regularly changing contemporary art and craft, a fine Permanent Collection of national and regional importance and a variety of supporting events.

 

Rye Creative Centre

Rye Creative Centre is a cultural hub and outstanding studio facility for over 30 resident artists known collectively as New Road Artists and the ARRCC charity, who offer art and crafts, music therapy, creative writing, counselling, complementary therapies, and gardening for physically and sensory impaired adults.  The Centre offers a dynamic programme of events, exhibitions, stage productions and workshops for adults and young people in East Sussex and Kent throughout the year and boasts an art room, gallery, theatre and print room – all available to hire.

 

Rye Dance Centre

The School offers a high standard of technical and artistic training in a friendly and enjoyable environment. With caring professional qualified teachers, students can expand their love of dance and theatre either just for fun or for a future professional career.
The school, which was established in 1982 and is an ISTD Approved Dance Centre, is located in the beautiful historic town of Rye, East Sussex and is centrally located, 5 minutes' walk from the train and bus station. The School offers professional training in dance and theatre studies under guidance of ISTD Ballet, Modern and Tap examiner Joanne Fletcher and who is also a certified Acrobatics Arts instructor.
