BHT Hastings Advice’s specialist housing advice team are able to provide free and confidential advice to people who are homeless or at risk of losing their home, suffering harassment by their landlord or living with serious disrepair.

 

Elite Hair Academy

Elite Hair Academy takes a vocational approach to preparing students for a career in hairdressing. They place an emphasis on both the technical aspects of hairdressing and the professionalism required to work in a salon environment. The Academy maintains positive relationships with the industry and students alike, liasing with salons and supporting young people as individuals.

 

Hastings Works

Hastings and St Leonards Works is a Social Enterprise which trades as a Recruitment Business and provides help for people looking for work. We see around 100 people come through the doors at our two sites each day. We can help you with:

The Roebuck Centre (Autism Sussex)

The Roebuck Centre offers a variety of courses, both developmental and leisure-based.

 

Tomorrows People

We have worked in Sussex for over 27 years, in Brighton, Hastings and Eastbourne.

The client groups in each of the areas varies accordingly, with Hastings having the highest rate of unemployed residents.

Since 2008, our key activity in Hastings has been foundation learning for young people who did not complete formal schooling to build learning, social, life and basic skills.  This project works with participants from Hastings, Bexhill and Rother.

 

WOW Exchange

The WOW Exchange is the result of work undertaken by the East Sussex Councils for Voluntary Services and Business in the Community - In challenging economic times, we created a platform that enables businesses and community organisations in the area to exchange skills and resources to build stronger links that would benefit both sectors.

 

Xtrax Young Peoples centre

Xtrax provides a street level drop-in service for young people aged 16-25, which is safe and non-judgemental.

We offer free use of washing machines, showers, internet, pool and Sky TV.

Our kitchen provides cheap, affordable meals and free fresh fruit. We also offer free condoms, supported pregnancy testing and chlamydia testing.
